Engagement Session: Madison and Tyler

Madison had her heart set on shooting on a road that was lined with trees on each side. We decided to check out Prairie Sunset Trail on the west side. The trail spans 15 miles from Garden Plain through Goddard and continues to S. Hoover, Rd in Wichita. When I arrive at a location the first thing I am looking for is great lighting. Ideally, I will find a spot with light shining through trees behind a couple and access to an open sky in front of them. This is going to ensure that couples are well lit and have that “pop” of color I always aim for! Our lighting at the entrance of the trail was absolutely perfect, we didn’t even need to venture down the trail.

After we finished up at Prairie Sunset Trail, we all hopped in my car to go scout out another location. I loved getting the chance to catch up with them and see how wedding planning has been going as we drove! On the way there we drove by a field that had the most dreamy lighting I could have hoped for. The original location we were going to check out was on private property so we ended up going back to the field we passed and shooting there for a few minutes. I’m so glad we found that spot!

Madison and Tyler quickly changed into their second outfit and we headed to Pawnee Prairie Park! We caught some of the last remaining light of the day and finished out their session. Shout out to Madison and Tyler, they both did great during their session!
