Over the years I have come to find that the more comfortable a couple is with you as a person, the more comfortable they will be in front of the camera. This is why I love to grab a coffee or a beer with couples when they are considering booking Lara and I for their big day. I know that if we click well and that they are comfortable around us…we will make some magic happen in front of the camera.

I didn’t have to worry about any of that with Landon and Baylee. Lara and I have been in their lives for a few years and we know them extremely well! One of my favorite things about them is how responsible they are. I can remember a conversation we had with them before they got engaged about budgeting. They didn’t really know if they would be able to make it on their own financially if they got married. We challenged them to do some homework and call around to apartment complexes to get pricing, find the average cost for electricity and water, and to take into consideration just how much it would cost. The next month we got together I was blown away to find that they actually did it! These two have maturity and joy that you just don’t see very often in people their age.

Their engagement session was actually broken into two days. The first session was shot downtown in Wichita on a rooftop. We had an overcast evening and Baylee was really hoping for some sunshine. I told her we could try again the next weekend. We were so pumped to have a sunny evening in November that gave us the lighting we were hoping for at our second location! I don’t normally do this, BUT these two are some of Lara and I’s favorite people.
